Morgan Housel
Morgan Housel writes short chapters about how people make decisions with money, and why those decisions often have more to do with feelings and experience than with math.
I've put it on this month's list because the holidays are an expensive season, and November is a good time to sit down and budget for it before the spending starts. It's also an easy way to start a money conversation with your partner, because you can discuss the stories in the book before you get to your own.
This one comes recommended by my financial advisor, Tara Ross, who will be sharing more book recommendations here in the months to come. It's the first of many, because money is one of the biggest pain points for couples. Talking about it, managing it and understanding each other's values around it can all be stressful.
